My Story

I grew up in the Bronx, raised by a fierce Puerto Rican mom and abuela who played guitar like an angel and taught me that music could carry prayers when words failed. Life in a Pentecostal church shaped me early on, but not always in ways that felt safe. Let’s just say, I know what it’s like to feel like you don’t belong—to feel like you have to hide parts of yourself to fit into someone else’s idea of holy. Been there. Done that. Got the scars.
I spent years wrestling with faith, shame, and who I was. My journey took me through the highs of creative arts, the lows of conversion therapy (never again!), and some rock-bottom moments that left me questioning if I even wanted to keep going. But somehow, grace found me in the mess. And instead of giving up, I leaned in. I let my wounds teach me how to heal.
Fast forward to today:
I’m a certified Spiritual Director and an ordained queer clergyperson with the Metropolitan Community Churches (MCC). I earned my M.Div. from New York Theological Seminary and built Wounds to Wisdom — my ministry dedicated to helping others find spiritual healing and wholeness. My focus? Supporting folks who have been hurt by religion, especially LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities, and anyone who needs a space where their full self is welcome.
What I Offer:
I blend faith with practices like meditation, reiki, indigenous rituals, and a whole lot of heart. Whether it’s spiritual direction, trauma-informed care, creative writing groups, or officiating ceremonies, I bring humor, honesty, and compassion to the table. Think of me as your spiritual hype-man and guide all rolled into one.
Why I Do This Work:
Because I’ve been where you are. I know what it feels like to wonder if God could love someone like you. Spoiler alert—God does. Always has. Always will. And I believe healing happens when we give ourselves permission to show up exactly as we are. My job is to create spaces where that kind of showing up feels not just possible, but sacred.
Fun Facts (Because Life Isn’t All Heavy Stuff):
-
I’m a proud geek who loves Marvel movies and binge-watching true crime documentaries.
-
Coffee is basically my love language. (Bring me a latte, and we’re instantly best friends.)
-
I play guitar and sing, so don’t be surprised if we end up turning a session into an impromptu jam.
-
I’m autistic and ADHD, which means my brain is basically a beautiful, chaotic playlist of ideas. (Trust me, it keeps things interesting.)
Let’s Connect:
I believe that no one’s story is too messy for grace. If you’re ready to start untangling yours, I’m here for it.
Your journey matters. Your story matters. And I can’t wait to hear it.
